The Nintendo DS , (sometimes abbreviated to DS or NDS) is a dual-screen handheld game console developed and manufactured by Nintendo. It was released in 2004 in Canada, the United States, and Japan. The console features a clamshell design, similar to the Game Boy Advance SP, with two LCD screens inside—with the bottom one being a touchscreen. The Nintendo DS also features a built-in microphone and supports wireless IEEE 802.11 (Wi-Fi) standards,[5] allowing players to interact with each other within short range (10–30 m, depending on conditions) or online with the Nintendo Wi-Fi Connection service, which launched later in the console's lifespan. This was the first Nintendo console to be released in North America before Japan.

I say bring some well rounded, and well needed, fighters to the DS. Some of my favorites are ones like Killer Instinct, Bloody Roar, or Super Smash Bros. Even a minute series like Clay Fighter with its zaniness would be nice to see.

Another thing I forgot to mention is the inclusion of Virtual Console games for DSi, which to me was the first place my mind went when I heard about it. I think it would be great to play old school Game Gear, Lynx, and even Game Boy games through download on the DSi Download App. I think this would also help quiet those who didnt get a DSi because of the non included GBA slot (which is useless anyways)

What do you people think? Should there be an update, at least for the DSi(as the DS is capable of it), which gives you a console code for communication just like the Wii offers?

One of my personal faves from the Dreamcast was Caution: Seaman. I believe it would work great as a DS port.

I wonder, with the announcement of the "3DS" (as it it currently being called, if Nintendo will release some Wii interactivity with it, as well as some of the previously afforementioned features. My main thing though, is I wonder if there will be a new code system, to allow you to send messages from the device (similar in a way to the messge functionality of the Wii. Only time will tell.

I think we would all like to see some awesome features coming to the DSi. I hope Nintendo pulls through and gets the ball rolling on new add ons for their new installment.

I am sure that if we keep updating our hand helds from our wi-fi, they might add a few updates in there. I don't personally have a DSi, I have a PSP. One thing I know is that all the hand helds have new firmware coming out to make them all upgradeable, since todays technologies are like little computers.

Just so I can get it off of chest, regardless of if others are interested, I would like to se the folowing apps available for the DSi. I believe these apps would help add to the interest of the DSi. These are not limited to the following ideas...
* A Mii channel for DSi which allows you to also transfer it from the Wii console to be used in DSi specific titles.
* The ability to use the DSi as a controller for the Wii and as a keyboard when typing on Internet Channel, etc...
* The ability to talk through Pictochat using the microphone accessory (or regular touchscreen) via a chatroom environment that is online with friends listed on a friends list.
* Being able to transfer things wirelessly between the Wii and DSi, such as a Mii (already listed) pictures, music, etc.
* Being able to transfer DSiWare titles to my DSi from the Shop Channel on Wii.
* Also being able to keep the same balance of Nintendo Points, regardless of console. Such as buying 1000 points and using 800 on Wii and 200 on DSi and so forth.

Sorry for babbling on, but I always see the potential in consoles and it disappoints me when they don't live up to their potential.
